Blown Insulation (Spray-Applied Insulation)

Due to its structure, blown insulation is suitable for insulating floors, roofs, walls, and ceilings. It provides a flexible and efficient solution for both new builds and renovation projects.
Walls are traditionally insulated using rigid boards or roll insulation. However, these materials can be more difficult to install, especially when adapting around pipes, wiring, and other services. In addition, the structural frame often needs to be adjusted to match the size of insulation boards, which can increase installation costs.
With blown insulation, there is no need to adapt the structure to the material. Instead, the insulation easily adapts to the structure. The thickness of the insulation layer can be adjusted by modifying the depth of the frame, providing greater flexibility during installation.
Blown insulation fills all cavities and gaps, adapting to the building structure and creating a continuous, seamless layer. It can be used for both internal and external insulation.
When installing blown insulation, small openings are made in the membrane or finishing board, and the material is blown into the structure using specialised equipment, ensuring even coverage and high thermal performance.

Due to its structure, blown insulation is suitable for insulating floors, roofs, walls, and ceilings.

Why Choose Blown Insulation?

Blown insulation is a modern insulation solution designed to adapt perfectly to any structure. Unlike traditional insulation boards, it fills every gap and cavity, ensuring a seamless thermal layer with no weak points.
It is ideal for both new builds and renovation projects where precision and flexibility are essential.

How It Works

Blown insulation is installed using specialised equipment that injects insulation material into walls, floors, or roof structures through small openings.
The material spreads evenly, filling all voids and hard-to-reach areas, creating a continuous insulation layer that improves overall building performance.

Save Energy & Improve Comfort

Blown insulation helps reduce heat loss, maintain stable indoor temperatures, and lower heating costs. It also improves acoustic comfort and creates a healthier indoor environment.

Materials We Use

We use high-quality blown insulation materials.

Cellulose Insulation

Cellulose insulation, also known as ecowool, is an eco-friendly insulation material made from recycled paper. It provides excellent thermal performance and is highly effective at filling cavities and irregular spaces. Thanks to its breathable structure, cellulose helps regulate moisture and reduce the risk of condensation and…

Wood Fibre Insulation

Wood fibre insulation is a natural and breathable material designed to improve thermal performance while maintaining a healthy indoor environment. It has excellent moisture-regulating properties, allowing walls to “breathe” and preventing condensation build-up. Wood fibre also provides good thermal mass…

Glass Wool Insulation

Glass wool insulation is a lightweight and cost-effective solution widely used in residential and commercial buildings. It offers good thermal insulation and excellent acoustic performance, helping to reduce noise transmission. Its flexible structure allows it to adapt to different building elements such as walls, ceilings, and floors…

Rock Wool Insulation

Rock wool insulation is a durable and fire-resistant material made from natural stone. It provides excellent thermal insulation, high acoustic performance, and superior fire protection (non-combustible). Rock wool is also resistant to moisture and maintains its shape over time, making it ideal for walls, roofs, and industrial applications…

Breathable insulation – helps prevent moisture and mould

Blown insulation materials such as mineral wool, cellulose, and wood fibre are vapour permeable, allowing moisture to pass through the structure naturally. This helps maintain a healthy indoor environment, prevents condensation build-up, and reduces the risk of mould growth, which is especially important in the UK climate.

Suitable for walls, floors, roofs, and lofts

This versatile insulation solution can be used across multiple areas of a building, including internal walls, cavity walls, floors between joists, roof structures, and loft spaces. It is suitable for both new construction and renovation projects, making it a flexible option for a wide range of properties.

Fast and efficient installation

Blown insulation is installed using specialised equipment that ensures quick and precise application. The process requires minimal structural changes, and in many cases, insulation can be installed without removing existing finishes. This reduces disruption and allows projects to be completed efficiently.

Reduces energy bills and improves comfort

By minimising heat loss and improving thermal performance, blown insulation helps lower heating costs and energy consumption. It also creates a more stable indoor temperature, eliminating cold spots and drafts, resulting in improved comfort throughout the year.
